Wealth Dismisses Judge Fatmira Hajdari

The Independent Qualification Commission dismisses Tirana Appeals Judge Fatmira Hajdari, the widow of Democratic leader Azem Hajdari, and the mother of MP Rudina Hajdari.

"Expected decision," Hajdari told the media after the decision.

While the lawyer of Mrs. Hajdari, Maks Haxhia, considered the decision illegal.

"It was not legal at all. You saw for yourself how they did not receive any request," he said, warning that they would appeal the decision.

The trial panel consisted of Roland Ilia, Firdes Shuli and Etleda Çiftja.

The decision came three days after the hearing.

A series of non-declarations of assets, incomplete declarations over the years and the denial of visa revocation by the US Embassy in Tirana put the judge of the Tirana Court of Appeals in a difficult position.

Fatmira Hajdari started her career in the justice system in the 2000s as a judge of the Tirana Court. In July 2013, Hajdari was appointed by the Presidential Judge at the Tirana Court of Appeals, a position he held until today.
